Most 2027 rates have not been announced. This page says which have, which have not, and when each agency is likely to publish — because “not yet, and here is when to look” is a real answer, and a made-up number is not.
Nothing on this page is an estimate. Where a 2027 figure appears, an agency has published it and the source is linked. Where one has not been published, we say so and leave it blank. We never carry a rate forward from the previous year as though it were confirmed.
What is already known about 2027
Delaware— Maximum weekly benefit stays at $900
Delaware fixed the maximum weekly benefit at $900 for both 2026 and 2027, so this figure is already known not to move. The 2027 contribution rate has not been announced.

Maryland— Contributions begin 1 January 2027
Maryland reaffirmed a 0.9% contribution rate in April 2026, split evenly at 0.45% employer and 0.45% employee, applying to wages paid from 1 January 2027. Benefits do not begin until January 2028 — money leaving a paycheque in 2027 does not yet mean a claim can be made.

Massachusetts— Chapter 101 restructures the contribution on 1 January 2027
Chapter 101 of the Acts of 2026 shifts employer contributions between the medical and family leave components. The 2027 component rates have not been published, so the split cannot yet be calculated — only that it changes.

Minnesota— Premium rate held at 0.88%
Minnesota set the premium rate at 0.88% for both 2026 and 2027, and the reduced small-employer rate at 0.66% for the same two years. The 2027 state average weekly wage, which sets the benefit brackets and the maximum, has not been published.

Washington— Maximum weekly benefit rises to $1,727
Washington has already published the 2027 maximum. Claims filed on or after 1 January 2027 use the 2025 state average weekly wage of $1,919, giving a maximum of $1,727. The 2027 premium rate itself has not been announced.

Common questions
- Have 2027 PFML rates been announced?
- Mostly not. As of August 2026, five jurisdictions have published something for 2027: Maryland's 0.9% contribution begins in January, Minnesota has held its premium at 0.88%, Delaware has fixed its maximum weekly benefit at $900, Washington has published a $1,727 maximum weekly benefit, and Massachusetts has confirmed that Chapter 101 restructures its contribution. Every other figure is unannounced, and this page says so rather than estimating.
- When will 2027 rates be published?
- It varies by agency and most do not commit to a date. New Jersey announced its 2026 rates on 29 December 2025, days before they took effect. Oregon published its mid-year figures on 29 May 2026, about a month ahead. Maryland reaffirmed its 2027 rate in April 2026, unusually early. Where we have seen a dated announcement we say so on this page; where we have not, we do not guess a month.
